REPENT AMERICA FIGHTS BACK AS MAYOR
DECLARES WAR ON MARRIAGE 2/19/04

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – On February 12, 2004, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom declared war on marriage by issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples defying God and California State Law. In return, Repent America travels to San Francisco to put an end to the mayor’s lawlessness and to call him and those involved to repentance, while ministering the Gospel to the thousands of lawbreakers.

“With this one act Mayor Newsom has set forth a plan to destroy the American Family,” stated California resident Keith Mason of the Philadelphia-based Repent America. “This defiant Mayor must be brought to justice, and this lawlessness must come to an end,” continued Michael Marcavage, a field preacher with the same organization.

Let every American be warned that as our nation continues to reject God, He will continue to do as He declared in Romans 1:24-28: “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves the recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient...”

Over a dozen Christians from six different states, some as far away as Pennsylvania, have traveled to San Francisco to stand in opposition to this tyranny and to uphold God’s standard. “We are not here to argue the tradition of men, rather we are hear to proclaim God’s Truth,” Marcavage concluded.

The scripture declares in Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”
