Senator Arlen Specter, President Bush's friend and the man set to become the head of the Judiciary Committee, has warned against nominating pro-life judges. Senator Specter, who has a pro-abortion litmus test for the Supreme Court, must not be allowed to determine the makeup of our courts. He should not become the next Judiciary Committee chairman. Please call the Republican Senate Judiciary Committee members and let them hear it from you!

Call Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Republican Committee Members through the Capitol Switchboard, 202-224-3121:

Larry Craig, 208-342-7985

Saxby Chambliss, 770-763-9090

John Cornyn, 512-469-6034

Sample Statement:

I am deeply troubled by comments made by Senator Arlen Specter suggesting he has a pro-abortion litmus test for the Supreme Court. Should he be allowed to chair the Senate Judiciary Committee, he could stop the appointment of judges to the federal courts that are against the killing of unborn children.

I ask you to oppose elevating Senator Specter to the Judiciary Chair. Senator Specter clearly has not shown proper judgment for the chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee.
