Exposing Lansdowne Borough Council’s UnGodly Agenda

In 1832, Noah Webster, Yale graduate, teacher, and author of the first American dictionary of the English language, powerfully declared in his book History of the United States, "When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, ‘just men who will rule in the fear of God.’ The preservation of [our] government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty.”
In his book, Webster further declared, “If the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made not for the public good so much as for the selfish or local purposes; Corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the Laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded. If [our] government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the divine commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the Laws."
Not only as a nation, but as local communities, we have drifted far from the Biblical foundation of moral law. In our representative governments, we have elected bad men. The consequences of such actions are extremely destructive, as clearly evidenced in the corrupt Lansdowne Borough Council.
The council’s recent appointment of Kevin Lee, a homosexual activist, was strategically orchestrated to further their unGodly agenda. They desire nothing more than to usher in their anti-family objectives by encouraging and promoting the unnatural homosexual lifestyle within our community.
Following the unexpected resignation of Jane Madden, and prior to Mr. Lee’s quick and unanimous appointment by borough council, Mayor Jane Young and council members have been working privately to setup a domestic partnership registry. This will allow those who are living in the sin of homosexuality to register with the borough and be recognized as legal couples. Our taxes will then be utilized to provide benefits to the partners of these homosexuals employed by the borough.
Not surprisingly, in a discussion with Kevin Lee, he was unable to cite any homosexual employed by the borough seeking benefits for their partner, or for that matter, any homosexual employee.
Mr. Lee’s appointment, making him the first public official in Delaware County who is an open homosexual, and the proposed domestic partnership registry, are obvious political statements that cannot be rationally connected to the role of the borough council.
Kevin Lee has already successfully assisted in the adoption of a non-discrimination policy based on ‘who people have sex with’ in the William Penn School District. In fact, Kevin Lee together with Lansdowne Borough council member’s Gene Wayne and Laura Fryer voiced their support for the sexual policy at a school district business meeting in January of this year. Be forewarned; it will not be long before your children are reading books in our schools, such as Heather Has Two Mommies and Daddy’s Roommate.
Lansdowne Borough Council president, Norman Council, has stated, “…sexual orientation has become less and less of an issue as mainstream society has become more familiar with and hence more comfortable with the simple idea that, apart from sexual technique, there is little difference in the broad desires and aspirations of homosexual and heterosexual people.” (Council, Norman. “The NewThought Lab.” Newtopia Magazine 4 May 2004.)
However, the Bible declares in Romans, chapter 1, “…God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”
Furthermore, Norman Council has continuously expressed his anti-Christian beliefs in various articles published by Newtopia Magazine, calling Christian evangelism “dangerous” and “truly deadly” when used to politically uphold God’s moral law and standards. Regardless of Mr. Council’s beliefs, history clearly documents that the laws of our nation come from a Biblical foundation. It is this moral foundation, and the acknowledgment of God upon Whom our nation and our organic law has been established. Even earlier Congresses in 1776 and 1789, recognized that the acknowledgment of God lay at the very foundation of law and liberty in America.
If God’s law does not remain as the foundation of our laws, then any lifestyle or any action, whether perceived to be right or wrong, would be permissible. Our community, and this nation, cannot and will not survive if this foundation be destroyed. Sadly, it is happening and the consequences are evident.
Let the ‘unusually convenient’ appointment of Mr. Lee serve as notice to all the borough’s residents that our community is being destroyed from within by our own elected officials. They are not only anti-Christian, but are operating our local government with a fascist mindset, refusing to represent the electors and putting forth their own selfish desires.
In a recent article by the Philadelphia Gay News, Mr. Lee confessed, “The gay community and the Borough Council hope this [his appointment] will lead to more gay and lesbian people moving to town.”
Please work with us to oppose the Lansdowne Borough Council’s efforts to normalize sodomy in our community, amongst a host of other significant issues. We must not allow the borough to become a haven for sexually deviant behavior, which is against state law, but most importantly, God’s law.
