PHILADELPHIA FUNDS $80K TO HOMOSEXUAL CELEBRATION
AMID HOMOSEXUAL SEX STING AT CITY DEPT. STORE 4/22/05

PHILADELPHIA - The City of Philadelphia is funding this year's homosexual street festival called Equality Forum at $80,000 plus in-kind services. This celebration of sin attracts tens of thousands of homosexuals to the streets of Philadelphia every year.

Through the years, Equality Forum, like other homosexual groups, have received hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to hold these types of events. This year's street festival will be held at Independence Hall and in the public streets from April 25 to May 1.

In anticipation of this year's Equality Forum, rainbow flags line the streets and encircle City Hall. The event will feature the unveiling of a historical marker by Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell at Independence Hall on Sunday, May 1, which was approved by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC). The marker will recognize the site as the first organized homosexual civil rights demonstration. In addition, homosexual "Bishop" Gene Robinson will participate in an interfaith service at the historic Christ Church to promote homosexual behavior and ecumenicism.

"In Philadelphia, massive amounts of taxpayer money continue to be channeled into the bank accounts of homosexual organizations like Equality Forum," stated Repent America director Michael Marcavage. "The taxpayers refuse to hold the city officials accountable, the church is silent, and through ignorance the people will pay the price for the celebration of abominable behavior," he continued.

Philly Pride Presents, another homosexual organization, receives $22,500 each year to put on events like OutFest, which is where eleven Christians with Repent America were arrested and jailed for ministering on October 10, 2004.

On Thursday April 21, 2005, just days before the start of this year's Equality Forum, undercover officers with Philadelphia's vice squad arrested and charged sixteen homosexuals ranging in age from 21 to 80 in a Strawbridge's department store restroom for engaging in sex acts. Several other men left the store upon witnessing police before ever reaching the restroom. Managers became aware that sex acts were occurring inside the men’s room several weeks ago and contacted police.

The men face misdemeanor charges that include indecent exposure, open lewdness, and disorderly conduct, while one faces a prostitution charge. In 2002 a similar sting was conducted at the same store where more than a dozen people were arrested.

"The arrest of these sixteen men reveal the promiscuous and depraved lifestyle of the homosexual," Marcavage said. "This is exactly the type of behavior the City of Philadelphia is encouraging by its funding of homosexual organizations like Equality Forum. Philadelphia is reaping what it is sowing," Marcavage concluded.

Repent America will return to Equality Forum this year to minister the Word of God and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
